2. The only direct evidence assuming to connect defendant with the crime committed was that of the witness Bennetts. The record is conclusive that he knowingly participated in the furtherance of the crime with which defendant was charged. The trial court should have charged the jury that he was an accomplice. It was error to submit to the jury the question whether he was an accomplice.
